Internet & Telephone Services

We know that starting a new business or managing your growing business can sometimes be an overwhelming task. Selecting and setting up your telecommunications services shouldn't add to the complexity. For over fifteen year Horizon Telephone Systems, Inc. has helped business manage this task through strategic relationships to insure the right service is utilized for your business.

Business Hunting Lines and Single Lines

Determining the type and number of lines needed differ from business to business; making the right decision can save your business thousands of dollars a year in recurring charges. Most business use a combination of business hunting lines and single lines:

Business Hunting Lines - are sometimes referred to as rotary lines or roll over lines. Hunting lines allow customers to have multiple lines for a single number, where the main number hunts or rolls over to the next available line.

Single Lines - are lines that do not hunt or roll over to other lines. These types of lines are used for fax lines or dial-up services.

Direct Inward Dial

Frequent caller to any business may get annoyed going through the operator every time or individual users might want a number that allows individuals to call their phone directly. Direct Inward Dial (DID) lets your callers dial your extension and connect directly to you, skipping your operator or auto-attendant. DID can manage your calls better and improve customer service by connecting callers to the right person, the first time.

Integrated T-1's

An integrated T-1 is a digital service that allows for a single circuit to be utilized for a combination voice and Internet traffic, which replaces the need for old analog lines and provides a cost-effective and highly available solution where broadband technology is not available. This service also enhances the reliability and speed of the network connection. This digital service can be connected through the use of an integrated access device; or, through newer digital signaling capable phone systems. HTS has helped hundreds of customers improve their office telecommunication systems by implementing these types of high-density circuits; and in most cases lower company's monthly telecommunication expenses. PRI

Companies that operate in a legacy D.I.D. environments often don't maximize their network efficiently; PRI?s or Smart Trunks eliminate the guessing game and help clients reach MAXIMUM NETWORK EFFICIENCY. What is "network efficiency", Network efficiency describes a company's utilization of their Public Switched Telephone Network services to maximize their capacity. Most companies do not focus on network capacity for many reasons - the company does not employ an in-house communication department, their current network solution is working just fine, and it is not a core competency of their business and thus, not a focus of revenue generation or cost savings (a phone bill is what it is, right).

Through the utilization of PRI and Smart Trunk services combines D.I.D. and business hunting lines for inbound and outbound calling over a single connection. This single connection is smart enough to determine whether a call is for direct line or the main number and allows the call to pass through on one of its 23 paths. It also allows for outbound traffic over that same connection. The system can also determine the minimum and maximum number of pats necessary for optimal service, therefore insuring that there is always a line available for your customers to call in. HTS can work with your provider or recommend a provider and a system that will allow your company to take advantage of this revolutionary technology.

Broadband Technology

HTS can provide you with the support you need to determine how broadband technology can improve the way you do business. DSL or digital subscriber line technology is an exciting new way to send digital transmissions such as video and data over standard copper cable traditionally used for voice services. DSL provides "always on" high-speed connection to the Internet or a virtual private interoffice network, offering maximum productivity to your employees.
